Inspire: Luton Sports Village has been selected as one of seven centres in the country to be a talent search centre for the Talent ID scheme.
What is Talent ID scheme?
Talent ID is a crucial recruitment tool for finding the next generation of diving talent that aims to scout for children who have the potential to be fast-tracked into the international sporting stage.
Olympic gold medallist, Tom Daley, was identified through his local club back in 2001. He is now one of the biggest names in the diving world as well as one of the most popular sportsmen in Great Britain. Being part of the Talent ID scheme enabled Tom Daley to win medals at every level of the sport, including the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, and the World Championships.
Who is the Talent ID scheme for?
The scheme is targeted at children aged 8 – 14 years old, who can swim 25m. However, children who show interest in the sport are also encouraged to get involved. No diving experience is needed.
Everyone who signs up to the scheme will also be offered a free diving taster session at Inspire to give the children a real experience of diving.

What happens next?
After signing up, you will receive information on how to book a free diving taster at Inspire: Luton Sports Village, as well as a link with videos of skills for your child to try at home. You should record your child copying these skills and then upload the videos to the talent search. Its that easy! If your child is chosen for the ID scheme, they may one day be a diving representative of Team GB!
Good luck!
