Thanks to National Lottery Funding, our hugely successful ME TIME programme has been granted a further £72k by Sport England to continue for another year.
ME TIME was established in 2014 to address the high levels of inactivity among women in Luton. The challenge was to reach out to and motivate inactive and infrequently active women to become active and stay active. To date over 5,000 women have enrolled in the programme.
ME TIME’s community-based approach takes activities into the heart of Luton’s communities in a variety of settings including schools and other familiar meetings points. Its success is also due to the team of instructors and activity leaders who have a real desire to make a difference to the lives of women in Luton and who understand the need for flexibility and adaptability.
Women joining ME TIME get a free Go4Less card to allow reduced price or concessionary access to ME TIME sessions and any other sessions in Active Luton centres, plus a 10 for £10 card as an initial inducement.
