FloatFit, a new, world-wide group fitness craze on water, is coming to Inspire: Luton Sports Village.
Taster sessions start from 12 November through December and FloatFit will be added to the Inspire group fitness timetable from January 2019. Inspire is the only leisure centre in the South East outside London to offer FloatFit classes.
FLoatFit combines high intensity interval training (HIIT) and yoga-inspired moves for a great fun, whole-body workout. Using the world's first floating exercise mat - called AquaBase - FloatFit takes place entirely in the pool. Classes are 30 minutes each and have a maximum of 15 people per class. FloatFit is suitable for all ages and abilities - but you MUST be able to swim to take part as most people will fall off at some point – it all adds to the challenge and the fun!
In the FLoatFit HIIT class, the AquaBase exercise mat provides a low impact, high quality exercise platform with the water’s instability forcing the core muscles to work continually to stay balanced throughout the varied moves including squats, mountain climbers, lunges and sit-ups.
Tara Bonnett, Group Fitness Manager for Active Luton comments:
“This is a great fun addition to our group fitness timetable. If you don’t enjoy swimming and we haven’t tempted you into the pool before – this could be the one for you. If you’re looking for a highly effective, low impact workout in just 30 minutes you’ll love FloatFit. Believe me – you will feel the burn!”
FLoatFit is brought to you by UK-based global fitness brand, AquaPhysical.
