Course Aim

To equip the learners with the essential knowledge and understand, they have a responsibility and are accountable for maintaining the health of customers by ensuring that the food and prepared or served is safe to eat.

Level 2 Award: Minimum 6 hours

Who should do the course?

Anyone working in a food outlet, who may be involved in preparing, handling or cooking food, as they have responsibility for food safety.

Cleanliness and hygiene standards
Delivery of quality food to customers

Entry Requirements:

Minimum age 15 years

Certification Qualification

Awarding Body: Chartered Institute of Environmental Health

Validity Period

It is recommended that holders of the qualification should attend refresher training at least every 3 years.
