Cathy Fights Back to Fitness with the Support of the ME TIME Team

Cathy O’Leary became a ME TIME member whilst recovering from a brain tumour. She had been encouraged by her two daughters who had joined previously and had enjoyed the classes the programme has to offer. They wanted to help their mum get fit and feel better about herself following her illness and thought that the ME TIME scheme offered the perfect opportunity to do so. Click here to read more.

Remii Bains Joins the ME TIME Team

Remii Bains has recently been welcomed into the ME TIME Team as an Active Luton Higher Apprentice. Having grown up locally in Farley Hill and with a love of football, Remii plays for Luton Town Ladies Football Club. She will also be graduating in October from the University of Hertfordshire with a Foundation Degree in Sports Studies. Click here to read more.

Titanic Result for Catrina

1,600 competitors recently  lined up for  The Titanic 10k road race around the Titanic Quarter in Belfast. Among them was Catrina Lewis , ME TIME Manager and Communities & Outreach Manager for Active Luton.

April 15, 2016 marked 104 years since the ill-fated maiden voyage of the  Titanic and the 10th anniversary of this much celebrated road race.

ME TIME Leaders First Female Lifeguard Pass

The Sporting Equals and ME TIME Leaders programme, developed to encourage and train more black, Asian and minority ethnic women in Luton to become sports coaches, has had its first success with Nazia Qamarpassing her National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency First Aid. Click here to read more.

ME TIME Ladies Join Sport Relief Mile

Many of our ME TIME ladies joined the 150-strong pack at Stockwood Park Athletics Centre on Sunday 20 March for the Sport Relief Mile.  A DJ was in residence to liven things up and ME TIME instructor Chantelle gave a dance peformance.  It was a great fun day for a very worthy cause.
