Case Study: Jamel Matthew - Activity Leadership
Jamel has always been passionate about sport and was a keen gymnast from an early age. He undertook a Leadership Activator course through the Prince’s Trust and, after spotting his talents for coaching, was later offered an apprenticeship in Active Leadership by Active Luton. Once his course was completed he was offered a full time coaching role with Active Education.
‘The programme gave me a chance to learn a lot of new skills. I’ve met a lot of new people that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. The apprenticeship helped me be more confident in my abilities and enabled me to see different options in my career path that I just didn’t know were there before.'
